I was not always a happy person. But I’ve come a long way since then! That’s why I want to share with you the tips that I have found to help me maintain a positive outlook on life so you can have an abundance mindset too!

I have spent the better part of my 20’s now building up my mindset to free limiting beliefs and long-held blocks, and I want to help you do the same! It’s true, I was not a very happy person early in my 20’s and it wasn’t until my husband and I were sick and tired of being sick and tired that things started to get better for us.
What really accelerated my personal growth was when my husband and I decided to have our firstborn. There were things that were smooth at the time that decided to start falling apart at that time. But I was determined that I was not going to!
So these are tips that helped me go from my lack mentality to one of abundance. I wish I could say it was easy as flipping a switch but it was not! On your journey just remember that time takes time, and to have grace with yourself as you go along, and be sure to have a professional you can speak to!
What do I mean by an abundance mindset?
It took me longer than I wish it did to fully embrace the concept. And in some ways, I still struggle with it at times, but that’s okay! Like a fixed mindset, a scarcity mindset is one of small feelings and thoughts. It’s that feeling that when any one little thing doesn’t go your way you can spiral into all of the other things that didn’t go your way.
A scarcity mindset is also resisting change, feeling like you can never have what you need or want, and staying stuck. Whereas a growth mindset is more similar to an abundance mindset. A growth mindset consists of embracing change, welcoming in new ideas or concepts, and expanding your life. That is basically what an abundance mindset would consist of, but even more importantly it is knowing that there is plenty in store for you from the universe.
How do you define that? It can be a little tricky once you start uncovering all of the lies that your subconscious has been telling you through the years. You have to begin by unraveling the self-limiting beliefs, the mind viruses (as Dr. Wayne Dyer would say), and the family beliefs that have been passed down to you.
Once you start unraveling, how do you start unlocking abundance?
You have to clear the negative things that are taking up space in your life before you can accept the new things that want to make their way in. Like with science, nothing can be created or destroyed, you have to clean out the old to welcome in the new. They won’t cohabitate.
Here are some of the ways that I have helped welcome in abundance and curate an abundance mindset.
- Wake up every day and write down 10 things you are grateful for. It can be as simple as waking up that day or that you had a warm bed to sleep in
- Exercise, do yoga, get your body moving to stimulate the brain to release happy chemicals. Remember that you can move your body and you’re alive to see another day.
- Read or listen to something inspirational. It can be your horoscope or a self-help books.
- Drink a glass of water first thing in the morning. Remember what you put in you get out! So fill your body with the nutrition that it need.
- Release limiting beliefs or negative feelings. Use methods like meditation or EFT Tapping to release blocks and welcome in abundance.
Have patience with your journey!
No matter where you are in your journey, please remember that you have more than some even if you don’t have as much as others.
