When I was laid off from my job, I was thrilled. Sounds crazy, I know. It was such a life-sucking, soul-destroying, waste of time. I loved my coworkers, but the direction the company was going was against every fiber of my being.

So here I am a stay-at-home mom now. Involved in a direct sales company, with all this TIME! I was eager to get a head start on building the life of my dreams.

The problem with time though, is managing it. You think you have all the time in the world when you all of a sudden don’t have to sell your soul for 50 plus hours a week. The catch is now I had to make money a different way.

All of a sudden, without a steady paycheck, I would spin my wheels on how to do this, that and the other thing. I was being told what to do by my upline and I’m like how am I supposed to do that? I have to go to the grocery store, I have to do the dishes, I have a mountain of laundry! It took a major mental shift to start prioritizing the things that would make me money as a mompreneur. Now, instead of focusing on the household things that any stay-at-home mom thinks is the most important, I thought work.

So here are my tips for you, mompreneur, who wants more out of life but can’t seem to find the time to do it.

  1. The dishes can wait!
  2. Laundry can be folded one day and put away the next.
  3. Dinner does not HAVE to be on the table the second your husband is home.
  4. Clean the house one day at a time.
  5. Make a schedule.

Ladies, I know you think it has to be done right now.

I hear you! There have been plenty of days my husband is like Woah, did a tornado isolate our house and tear everything apart? No, it didn’t but you know what? You can hang out with the kids while I put it in order (or you could put it in order too…but I can’t complain my husband does know how to help if I ask for it).

Y’all know you have a million and one coffee cups for no logical reason, so the dishes can wait until your husband is home to watch the kids. Maybe your mother stops by to lend a hand, or your kids are asleep or content in their walker, watching tv, etc. You’re a mompreneur now, and it ranks higher than a waitress.

If you’re trying to find pockets of time for work while you’re at home because you want more out of life, you have to prioritize them!

Laundry, cleaning, dishes, dinners, they’re always there! But if you’re spending every pocket of time you could be working on the life you want, doing these things instead, you’ll always be doing just that! Any good mompreneur understands how prioritizing money over little things is essential.

Ladies, my dream is to be able to pay someone else to clean my house, make my meals, fold my laundry. I don’t even need the fanciest cars or the nicest clothes.

I just don’t want to scrub another toilet in my life if I don’t have to!!!

You have to change your mindset, and your schedule around if you want to make these things possible. There is only so much time in a day to get it all done, but if you plan ahead, you can find those little pockets to do more in. If you want more out of life, reach out to me today!
